Character Count is a free browser-based character counter online that counts the characters in the text you paste and prints a short report.
Use it when you need a quick count for a prompt, a dataset field, a message, or any other piece of text. The tool is focused on characters only, which keeps the result simple.
Counting runs in your browser, so your text is not uploaded to Tools Viewer servers for this step.
The report always uses the same two lines:
Characters: N — the total number of characters, including spaces.Characters (no spaces): M — the number of characters with whitespace excluded. This is a raw count. It does not apply the rules of any particular social platform or service.
