This Privacy Policy explains how Tools Viewer (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use Tools Viewer at ToolsViewer and related browser tools (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. Related rules are in our Terms of Service.

1. Our privacy approach

Most of Tools Viewer can be used without creating an account and without identifying yourself. The tools, blog, and templates are free to browse and use for their core workflows. We build the Service to keep everyday development work private whenever it is technically practical.

2. Browser tools and your content

For core tool workflows, content you paste, upload, or edit stays on your device unless you take an action that clearly sends it elsewhere. Examples of optional actions that may leave your browser include:

  • Exporting or downloading a file you choose to save
  • Fetching a remote URL you provide
  • Sending a test email through a service you configure (such as Mailpit)
  • Using another feature that clearly contacts an external endpoint

We do not claim ownership of the content you create or edit in the Service.

3. Information we may receive

You can use most of the Service without giving us personal information. We may receive information in these situations:

  • Contact. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive the details and message content you submit so we can reply.
  • Analytics and advertising partners. Partners such as Google may collect usage data (for example approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, and IP address) as described below.
  • Server logs. Basic logs needed to operate and secure the website (for example requests, timestamps, and IP address).

We do not sell personal information you submit through the contact form.

4. Local storage on your device

Some tools may store preferences or drafts in your browser (for example with localStorage) so settings and recent work can persist between visits. That data stays on your device unless you clear it in your browser. It is not an account and is not synced to us as a profile.

5. Log data

When you visit the Service, our servers and delivery infrastructure may receive standard log data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the time of the request. We use this to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.

6. Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. It uses cookies and similar technologies to collect data such as pages viewed, approximate location, and device information. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by declining analytics cookies in our cookie preferences.

7. Advertising (Google AdSense)

The free Service may be supported by display advertising through Google AdSense and its partners. Advertisers have no say in what we publish, which tools we build, or what we recommend.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, www.aboutads.info/choices (US), or www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU). Learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
  • Opting out of personalized ads does not mean you will see no ads; you may still see non-personalized advertisements.

We do not control the cookies or tracking technologies used by third-party ad vendors, and this Policy does not apply to their practices.

8. Cookies and consent

Cookies and similar technologies may be used for essential site functions, analytics, and advertising. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies for analytics and advertising, using Google Funding Choices (AdSense Privacy & messaging). You can change your choice at any time using Cookie preferences in the footer.

You can also control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the Service work.

9. Service providers

We use third-party providers to operate and improve the Service. The main categories are:

  • Hosting and delivery — to serve the website and protect it from abuse.
  • Google Analytics — to measure site usage, as described above.
  • Google AdSense and advertising partners — to show ads, as described above.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies, and only as needed to perform their services. We do not sell personal information.

10. How long we keep things

We do not keep personal information indefinitely when we no longer need it for the purpose it was collected.

  • Contact form and support emails — kept as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, then deleted or minimized in ordinary course.
  • Server and security logs — kept for a limited period for operations and abuse prevention.
  • Analytics and advertising data — retained by those providers under their own policies and your cookie choices.

11. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information we receive. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Links to other sites

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services, including advertisers. If you follow a third-party link, you leave our Service. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of those sites.

13. Data location

Tools Viewer is operated from Pakistan. Data processed by Google and other partners may be transferred and stored in other countries under their own policies.

14. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email support [at] toolsviewer.com from the address you used to contact us. We do not knowingly sell personal information.

If you are in the UK or the EU, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection regulator.

15. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Ads shown on the Service are not directed at a known child audience.

16. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting the new version on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
